Resume Experience Examples

The resume that you use when you first start out in the job market will look markedly different as you gain experience and confidence. You can create a resume to showcase your talents and job skills by knowing how to write your resume experience at any point in your career.

Five Different Career Levels

Your resume should follow the recommendations and formatting for one of these five different career levels:

  • Student: Even if you are a high school or college student and have yet to hold your first full-time job, you can still create a student resume to help you find employment. A student resume should highlight important details like coursework, projects, and honors.

  • Entry Level: An entry level resume likewise should highlight your high school or collegiate training. You additionally can list qualifiers like internships, volunteer experiences, or part-time jobs that you have held while you were in school or immediately after you graduated from high school or college.

  • Executive: An executive resume is appropriate to use when you are applying for a position in industries like insurance, real estate, stock brokering, or other specialized white-collar trades. This resume should highlight skills and work experiences as well as employment history, volunteering, internships, and other factors that help showcase your talents and sell you as the best candidate for the available position.

  • Manager: A manager resume must demonstrate that you have the ability to further the company's agenda and manage a staff of any size. You should use industry-related keywords like inventory, profit management, risk management, and customer service. You should highlight all of your leadership roles that you have held in your career as well as honors or accomplishments you have earned.

  • Experienced: An Experienced resume should be utilized when you want to enter a specialized profession like teaching or medicine. This resume may be longer than the prescribed single page. You may include a professional profile that lists your publications or conference papers or any courses that you have taught at other universities.

Regardless of the career level for which you write your resume, you should include most or all of these four important sections. These sections include:
